Origins of Our Name

"Om" (ॐ) – The sacred sound of the universe, representing unity, peace, and presence.
"Aalaya" (आलय) – A Sanskrit word meaning home, sanctuary, or dwelling place, often used in spiritual contexts (e.g., Dharmalaya).

"Omalaya" – Home of Om; sanctuary of presence. A spiritual refuge or space for mindfulness and deep connection.

Meditation Center

Omalaya integrates both active and silent meditation into its programs to support diverse paths to mindfulness and personal transformation. Active meditation includes movement-based modalities such as dance, somatic practices, and breathwork. Silent meditation includes traditional seated and stillness-based practices.
